An Irish man has been shot and killed in a shooting in New South Wales in Australia.
The man, believed to be from Sligo, was killed at a house in the Central Tablelands this morning.
Police have confirmed that they have arrested a man following the shooting.
It’s reported that the victim is aged in his 30s and originally from Sligo Town.
Officers from Chifley Police District were called to Jenolan Street shortly after 8am (Thursday 9th February 2023), where they found the body of a man suffering a gunshot wound.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
The scene has been sealed off and a firearm has been seized for further examination.
