Donegal will receive almost €38m under the 2023 investment programme for regional and local roads.
The county received the fifth highest allocation in the country and the figure is an increase from the 2022 allocation.
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue, this morning confirmed the allocation.
Commenting, the Minister said “Donegal’s roads are the most important piece of the county’s infrastructure and we must continually invest in that infrastructure to keep our roads safe and accessible. I am delighted today to confirm just under €38m in investment for Donegal’s roads for 2023, an increase from the 2022 allocation and one of the highest allocations in the country. The works include safety works, bridge rehabilitation, and works to regional and local roads.”
He continued “I thank Donegal County Council for its ongoing work to maintain our county’s infrastructure and to all our County Councillors for their work in their communities.”
