Car stolen in Ballybofey and found burned out in Killygordon

Gardaí in Ballybofey are investigating the theft of a black Renault Clio registration number ‘ 06 DL 12855’ from Glenview Park on the Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

The car was taken on Sunday the 12th of February between the hours of 8pm and when it was later located at Burn Rock, Killygordon at 10.30pm on fire.

The stolen car had been set alight and was completely destroyed by the fire.

A Garda spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who observed the car in question out on the roads between those times to contact Gardaí.

“We appeal to residents in Glenview Park to contact Gardaí if they seen or heard anything that on that date that might assist with our investigation.

“If anybody travelled in the area of Burn Rock (Stranorlar Road out of Killygordon) between 9.30pm and 10.30pm who had a dash cam, we would be interested in speaking to them also. Gardaí may be contacted in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 in relation to this investigation.”
