A cyclist was injured after a collision with a car on the main Manor-Lifford road last weekend.

The suspected hit-and-run incident took place in Ballyholey near Raphoe on Sunday 26th February at 11.10am.

Gardaí believe the driver of the car may have been aware of the collision, as the passenger wing mirror of the car was knocked off as a result. However, the driver failed to stop after the cyclist was knocked to the ground.

The car was a silver Peugeot 308, with a partial reg: 221.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for dashcam footage from anyone who was in the area between 11am and 12.20pm. Contact Letterkenny Garda Staiton: 0749167100
