There’s a St. Patrick’s Day treat in store for GAA followers in Donegal with confirmation that the county’s senior lady footballers will play host to Dublin on Friday afternoon.
Donegal are still without a win in what’s been a difficult Lidl Ladies National Football League Division One campaign.
And they will face another major test when they host the Dubs at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny (throw-in at 2pm).
Maxi Curran’s team sit bottom of Division One after losing all five of their games, the latest defeat coming in Cork on the weekend before last where they lost 5-11 to 0-01.
In contrast, Dublin’s form has been pretty good and they sit third in the table with three wins. They will travel to the North West buoyed by a good result against Mayo last time out when they came from behind to win by 2-11 to 2-07.
Donegal’s final game will be at home to Mayo on the last weekend in March.
