A number of appliances rushed to a suspected fire at the Bank of Ireland branch in Killybegs this morning.
The local unit received backup from Donegal town and Glenties Fire Stations after the alarm was raised shortly after 9am.
Donegal Daily understands that work is currently being carried out at the bank. However, following a thorough inspection, no fire was discovered.
A ‘temporarily closed’ sign was subsequently placed on the main door as investigations continued.
But, the bank is expected to reopen as normal tomorrow.
