Four valuable heifers reported stolen from near Kilmacrennan last weekend have been recovered.

They were reportedly taken from lands in the Cashleenan area sometime between 4pm on Friday and midday on Saturday last.

However, Gardaí have confirmed that the animals have been recovered and are back on the farm.

“All four have since been located. We thank the public for any assistance given,” a spokesperson for Milford Garda Station said this evening.
