Letterkenny woman spreads Easter cheer with generous food donation

Letterkenny woman Margaret Coyle is showing the spirit of Easter by making a generous donation to a local homeless hostel.

Margaret is passionate about charity efforts, and this year is no different.

This Lent, she came up with the idea to fill an empty basket of food to be donated to St. Colmcille’s Hostel to help those in need.

Margaret said: “Helping others makes me appreciate what I have because there is so many worse off. So for that, I’m grateful for all I have in my life.”

Margaret’s other passion is her fitness, she can be seen running the roads and last year she completed her first marathon.

“It’s something I’m so proud that I did,” she said.

She is also a keen walker and climber, and definitely a daredevil having done a skydive, abseils and zip-wire challenges all for charity, this August she plans to run the Donegal half marathon for the Donegal branch of MS and her annual Christmas draw this year will be for the Little Blue Heroes.

Last year Margaret celebrated the milestone of 20 years of fundraising for charity. By the sounds of things she has no plans on stopping anytime soon, if you see Margaret about, don’t forget to sponsor this wonder woman in her charity work.
