Gardaí have issued an appeal following two incidents of criminal damage in Donegal last week.

The separate incidents were reported in residential areas of Letterkenny and Buncrana. In both cases, windows were smashed overnight.

The first reported incident was on Tuesday 4th April. A home in the Lisowen Avenue area of Buncrana was targeted at around 3am.

A resident in the property heard a few loud bangs. The following morning, they checked out the property and saw glass cracked on an upstairs window. It is believed that the damage was caused by stones thrown at the window.

Gardaí have appealed for any residents who observed activity in the area overnight, or anyone with a dashcam to make contact with gardaí in Buncrana on +353 74 9320540 or call the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111.

The second case of criminal damage was on Sunday 8th April in The Green, Ballymacool Wood Letterkenny. A resident was away from their home between 5pm and 1am when the glass of the front door was smashed. Gardaí say it also appeared as though a stone was thrown at the glass.

Gardaí are asking witnesses to report any antisocial behaviour in the area on this date or any relevant information to Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
