The public have been asked to remain vigilant after three pet cats went missing from three locations close to eachother in Donegal Town.

Local pet charity Animals in Need have described the situation as “pretty suspicious.”

The three much-loved pets went missing in the Drumrooske area of Donegal Town over the Easter weekend.

A spokesperson for Animals in Need said “For three cats to go missing within an area of 0.5km within three days is pretty suspicious.

“Does anyone have any ideas or suspicions of what’s going on?

“This is a sad situation for three families who are desperately waiting for the return of their beloved cats.”

Only last week another pet cat was rescued outside Mountcharles which had been shot with eight pellets.
