There was a fantastic turnout of 66 players for the annual Cloughaneely District Darts League doubles competition last Saturday night.
The event was held in The Shamrock Bar, Falcarragh, with Joe Flood and Ryan Flood of Teac Bhillie taking the top prize. The pair narrowly defeated the Teac Mhici duo of Michael Coll and Niall Cunningham 3-2 in a tough fought contest.

The Shamrock team of Pat McGeady and John Murphy and the Teac Bhillie team of Damien Whoriskey and David Flood both came up just short in the semi-finals. A super night’s darts from all involved.

Massive thanks to Shaun Doohan and all his staff for being fantastic hosts for the competition.
The organisers would also like to thank the local businesses, Shane McGee Hardware Falcarragh, McClafferty’s Eurospar, Gortahork, Martin Terry Properties and Damien Whoriskey Plant Hire, who very kindly sponsored the boards for the singles and doubles competitions.
“Their kind sponsorship is greatly appreciated by the committee and players.”
