Two unnamed drivers were clocked going well above the speed limit in two areas of Donegal yesterday.
Gardaí mounted a large-scale speed check operation on Friday for ‘National Slow Down Day’.
In Burt, a driver was caught speeding at 147km/h in a 100km/h Zone on the N13.
And in Ballyshannon, a driver was doing 87km/h in a 60km/h zone on the R267 at Portnason.
The incidents are examples of the 211 vehicles caught breaking the speed limit across the country yesterday. From 07:00 on Friday 21st April to 07:00 this morning, Saturday 22nd April, GoSafe checked the speed of 140,720 vehicles.
