Donegal manager Aidan O’Rourke has admitted his team will have to try something different if they are to stay in the hunt for All-Ireland glory this year.
His team were put to the sword by a young Down side today after being outrun and out-thought in many areas.
Conor Lavery’s side eventually came away 2-13 to 1-11 winners, a winning margin of five points.
O’Rourke admitted he was frustrated after the encounter which saw Donegal have 34 shots but kick 14 of those wide while many others fell short.
“We shot ourselves in the foot,” admitted O’Rourke to Donegal Daily’s Charlie just moments after the final whistle.
