A man in his 20s has been arrested following a serious assault in Gleann Cholm Cille.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm yesterday evening.
The victim, a man also in his 20s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.
The arrested man is being held at a garda station in the county.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
