Couple steal money from church donation box

Gardaí are seeking the whereabouts of a couple who stole a sum of money from a Church in Buncrana at the weekend.

The theft took place at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill Road, sometime between 5:30pm and 6pm on Sunday evening last.

It is believed a man and woman entered the church, picked the lock of the donation box before making off with its contents.

Gardaí are urging anyone who travelled on the Cockhill Road on the evening and who has dash cam footage to contact them on 074 9320540 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
