The Malin Head community is hosting a ‘Walk Into the Light’ event this May for mental health charities Hughie’s Corner and Insight Inishowen.

The locally-organised sunrise walk takes place on Saturday 6th May from 4am. Participants will gather as a group and walk to the tower, with a bucket collection taking place to raise money for the charities.

Participants are asked to wear a hi-viz and bring their friends and family to join in on the event.

Organisers at the Malin Head Community Centre said: “Don’t forget to set your alarm and be a part of this meaningful initiative to support mental health in the community.”

Proceeds will be donated to Hughie’s Corner a 100% not for profit Child and Adolescent Therapeutic Centre based in Carndonagh, as well as Insight Inishowen, a voluntary-run charity which promotes mental health and emotional wellbeing and works to prevent suicide.

For updates and more details, follow the Malin Head Community Facebook page.
