Gardaí are investigating two separate burglaries at one property in Carndonagh last week.
A house was targetted twice in a matter of days in the rural Churchland Quarters area of the Mountain Road.
The first incident was reported between 10pm on Sunday 23rd April and 4pm on Monday 24th April. A small quantity of copper wire and a few rolls of lead were stolen from outside the house.
The following day, Tuesday 25th April, the shed of the property was entered via an unlocked side door. Among the items taken was a Ryobi petrol strimmer, a pink Rok petrol power washer, a box of Neilsen spanners and a small quantity of copper wire and pipes.
This second burglary took place sometime between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. The intruder then exited the shed by force via the front door and a significant amount of damage was caused on exit.
Gardaí are appealing for any sightings of a white Renault van in the area at the beginning of last week. If anyone has any information or dashcam footage, please contact Buncrana Garda Station on +353 74 9320540
People are also advised to be on alert for any of the stolen items being sold on a second-hand basis.
