The public is being advised not to be alarmed if they see the Rescue 118 helicopter over Lough Swilly this Tuesday evening.

A planned exercise has been scheduled in and around the Buncrana area.

RNLI Lough Swilly volunteers will also be taking part.

A Facebook notice said: “Folks, we have an exercise tonight with Rescue 118. So don’t be concerned if you hear the helicopter overhead later on.
We will do our best to keep the noise down.”
