Broadcaster Charlie Bird met up with Daniel O’Donnell this week ahead of a very special weekend.
Charlie will soon be ticking off a bucket list goal by seeing Bruce Springsteen live. ‘The Boss’ will play three shows in the RDS this weekend, and Charlie said he always dreamed of meeting the rock legend.
As he looking forward to the gig, Charlie met with another legend – Daniel O’Donnell – who has been a true friend and support since his motor neurone disease diagnosis.
Charlie suffered a bad fall earlier this week which resulted in him being rushed to hospital.
Thankfully, he’s back on his feet, and shared a snap of himself and Daniel enjoying time in Dundrum after his release from hospital.
“Yes I have a fractured cheek bone. But I also got great news,” Charlie told his followers on Twitter.
“That other wish on my bucket list is going to happen this weekend.”
Charlie, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2021, previously said that he wanted Bruce Springsteen’s hit single ‘Land of Hopes and Dreams’ as his funeral song.
