One small change can make a big impact – that’s the message of Mary’s Meals volunteers in Donegal this week as they launch their new campaign.

The charity is urging people to think about what small change could you make to help Mary’s Meals change the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Mary’s Meals is an International School Feeding Charity that provides hungry children with one daily meal in a place of education in areas where hunger and poverty often stand in the way of education. Mary’s Meals currently feeds over 2.4 million children every school day, at an average cost of just €22 for a whole school year.

Mary’s Meals relies on people offering their money, goods, skills, time, or prayer to help grow the movement and reach more children.

Passionate, motivated, local volunteers help keep costs low

Community ownership is essential to Mary’s Meals’ success and volunteers are vital to our school feeding programmes. Community volunteers cook and serve our meals, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We also rely on people giving their time in many other ways to ensure our work can continue.

Here in Ireland many people volunteer to raise money by crafting, baking, doing sponsored walks and taking on epic challenges, to name but a few things that volunteers do. People support the work of Mary’s Meals by donating regularly too.
