Gardaí have reissued their appeal for information in relation to an arson attack on a proposed housing complex for Ukrainian refugees in Buncrana.

At around 11:45 pm on Thursday last, Gardaí were notified of the building on fire in Lisfannon. Substantial damage was caused to the building which is owned by Derry businessman, Peter Casey.

Anyone with dash cam footage who may have travelled on the main Derry to Buncrana Road, or in the general area of Ludden/Lisfannon at the time, is urged to make the footage available to Gardaí.

Also, anyone who observed any suspicious activity is asked to come forward.

Buncrana Garda Station can be contacted on 074 9320540 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
