It may not be BBQ or short weather just yet but dry weather is here to stay.

Met Eireann say warm temperatures will continue into the weekend with highs of 19 degrees on Sunday.

There will be some showers but plenty of dry spells also.

Top temperatures today will be between 15 to 19 degrees, generally, but cooler locally in the Atlantic coastal fringes.

It will be mostly dry on Friday with spells of hazy sunshine but cloudy at times in western counties.

There will be still temperatures of between 16 and 19 degrees, however.

Met Éireann said while high pressure will continue to be the main influence over our weather.

Saturday and Sunday may see a little cloud and drizzle but this will break up into sunny spells and showers during the afternoon and evening.

Top temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees generally but a little cooler in the northwest in light northerly or variable breezes.
