This fixture was somewhat of a dead rubber, as these teams will meet in the Nicky Rackard Cup Final at Croke Park in two weeks time whatever the result of this game.

Donegal were much the better team in the opening half and led by 1-15 to 1-06 at half-time , Sean Ward got the Donegal goal.
Wicklow improved in the second-half and staged an excellent comeback to win by 2-17 to 1-18.
However, the real sides will be on show when the final comes calling.
