Vacancy: Bundoran Community Development CLG seek Bookkeeper

Bundoran Community Development CLG was originally formed in 2009 and in 2016, Bundoran Community Centre opened.  A variety of programs and activities are available for people of all ages and abilities to engage in with a wide range of options and services for them to enjoy.

We are now inviting applications for the position of Bookkeeper as part of a Shared Services.”

The successful candidate will report to the manager of Bundoran Community Centre. The post holder has the prime responsibility for the coordination, completion and reporting of programme payments across three social enterprises.  The bookkeeper will be required to keep track of the income and expenditure of the social enterprises to ensure there is a clearly defined financial administration in line with requirements set out by funders.  The bookkeeper will reconcile financial transactions and prepare financial reports.

This role is subject to funding and forms part of a pilot Shared Services Model initiative where the postholder will provide Bookkeeping and finance administration services to three social enterprises: Bundoran Community Centre; The Bluestack Centre and No Barriers Foundation.  The post holder’s primary employer will be Bundoran Community Development CLG.  This is a fixed-term contract from July to 31st December 2023 working 37.5 hours per week.

Please note that Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) is assisting with recruitment and selection procedures for the role.  It’s important to clarify that DLDC is not the employer, but rather providing support in this process.

Interviews are likely to take place on the week of 19th June 2023.  Bundoran Community Development CLG reserve the right to enhance the shortlisting criteria.  A panel may be formed from which similar vacancies may be filled.
