Investigation into alleged assault of teenage boy in East Donegal

An investigation is underway after a teenage boy was allegedly assaulted by a man on the outskirts of Lifford.

A 13-year-old boy was injured in the incident which reportedly took place in a local housing estate.

Donegal Daily understands that an adult male is suspected of carrying out the daylight attack on Saturday evening last.

A spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault on a male youth in his teens that is reported to have occurred in Lifford, County Donegal, on Saturday 27^th May 2023.”
