Recent roadworks have been completed on the Slab Road between Burt and Burnfoot in South Inishowen.
The road has been resurfaced and also lined for the first time.
Local councillor Jack Murray has welcomed the improvement to clearly separate traffic.
He said: “This is something that I had raised repeatedly at Inishowen MD meetings and Im glad to see it now implemented. Fair play to local council staff on a job well done.”
