Republic of Ireland star Amber Barrett put one foot on the plane to the World Cup Final in Australia with an impressive display against Zambia in a friendly at the Aviva Stadium tonight.
The Milford woman scored twice in a 3-2 wins over Zambia.
Ireland were 1-0 but Barrett converted a penalty and then scored from play to seal the win for Vera Pauw’s side.
Letterkenny woman Ciara Grant also impressed for the girls in green and could also be in the panel for the tournament Down UNder.
