An elderly walker was rescued after falling at Malin Head yesterday evening.

The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team were tasked at 5:44pm to assist in the rescue of a woman who had fallen and suffered a lower leg injury.

“National Ambulance Service (NAS), as well as Greencastle Coast Guard, worked with the team to locate and stabalise the casualty before being transferred to hospital for treatment. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery,” a DMRT spokesperson said.
