A powerful drama filmed in Donegal has premiered on Sky Cinema this week.
‘It Is In Us All’ aired in Irish cinemas last year. Now, film fans at home can watch it on Sky Cinema and Now TV.
The haunting atmospheric thriller was shot on location in County Donegal during the pandemic, with the cast and crew working in ‘pods’ to abide by Covid restrictions. The project was backed by Screeen Ireland with the support of Donegal Film Office.
‘It Is In Us All’ is the directorial debut from award-winning filmmaker Antonia Campbell-Hughes, starring Cosmo Jarvis (Persuasion, Calm With Horses), Claes Bang (The Northman) and Rhys Mannion.
The plot follows a formidable Londoner who cares for nothing, but when he visits his mother’s homeland of Donegal he is forced to confront his self-destructive core when a violent car crash involving a sexually charged boy who epitomises life, challenges him to face his truth.
‘It Is In Us All’ was produced by Emma Foley and Tamryn Reinecke for Pale Rebel Productions (Redemption of a Rogue) and Conor Barry for Savage Productions (The Cellar, Pilgrimage). The film was funded through Screen Ireland’s inaugural edition of its POV scheme which champions distinct Irish female voices with a passion to tell stories on the big screen.
