Two more men have been charged in relation to assaults and a number of public order incidents outside a pub in Co Sligo.
A total of five arrests have now taken place over an attack in Sligo town on Sunday night/Monday morning.
Three men were beaten in the major disturbance, which resulted in one man having to be rescued from the Garavogue river by emergency services. Three men were taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí arrested and charged three men aged in their 20s and 40s on Wednesday.
Today, two more men, aged in their early 40s and 20s, were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Both men have since been charged and are due to appear before Ballyshannon District Court this afternoon.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
