We all know that Donegal boasts some of the best beaches in Ireland if not the world.
And amongst the best is Narin.
The introduction of a motorised wheelchair is having a huge benefit for many visitors to the area.
We don’t have to tell Co Meath woman Pauline.
Pauline visits Narin every year and always enjoys a trip along the beach.
Because of mobility issues, she thought she wouldn’t be able to enjoy one of her favourite things in this world.
But in stepped the good people behind the Narin Beach Motorised Wheelchair.
Pauline spent a lovely time with her family this week taking in the sea air and the stunning views around Narin.
So too did Odhran whose grandmother has been waiting long and hard to take her grandson to the beach.
She thanked all those behind the wonderful project.
She said “Odhran having a super time on Narin beach driving the new electric wheelchair. He had such fun.
“Thank you Paul and Julie for the fundraising you did and all who contributed to this wonderful addition to allow access to the beach for all.”
