Rathmullan jockey Oisin Orr rode a horse to make its winning debut today at the Ripon races.
The well-backed 7/4 Tropical Island is trained by Richard Fahey.
Orr led the final 110yds to win the Dobsons Gaskets EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 4) (Turf).
Later on, Luke McAteer won at the Curragh on Jakajaro.
McAteer was first home on board the 15/2 shot for David Marnane in the La Celia Wines Sprint Nursery Handicap (Turf).
