Popular hotel manager Seán McElwee will be laid to rest in Donegal this Monday.

Mr McElwee, the General Manager of the Óstán Loch Altan in Gortahork, sadly passed on Saturday last.

He was ‘one of life’s true gentlemen’ who leaves a lasting legacy at the hotel which he cared so much about.

“Seán was an extraordinary soul whose genuine compassion touched the hearts of everyone he met. His infectious smile and his positive outlook were a source of inspiration for us all. As we mourn his loss, let us remember the beautiful memories we shared with Seán, his presence in Óstán Loch Altan will be missed so very dearly,” said a tribute from staff at Óstán Loch Altan.

Predeceased by his wife Jean, Seán will be deeply missed by his partner Máire, his four sons Niall, Shane, Naoise and Muiris, their partners Sylwia, Jess, Giselle and Lindsay, his grandchildren Seán, Nella, Seosamh, Hugh and Saorlaith, his sister Sheila, his brothers Seamus and Hugh, his nephews and nieces, his extended family, and his wide circle of friends.

Funeral Details: Seán will repose at his home in Malahide, Co. Dublin on Friday, July 28th, from 6pm to 8pm. Seán will subsequently repose in Óstán Loch Altan, Gortahork, Co. Donegal from 5pm to 9pm on Sunday, July 30 with Rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11am in Teach Pobail Chríost Rí, Gortahork before subsequently being buried in Fintown Cemetery, Fintown, Co. Donegal.

Family flowers only please.
