Councillor Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has been informed that repairs to the footpath outside St Eunan’s College will begin next week.

He said he had received several complaints about the state of the pavement which had only been laid during works for the new one-way system.

“The footpath has since been fenced off as it’s not fit for purpose,” Cllr Kelly said.

“Basically, buses and cars dropping off students have been parking on the pavement, but it’s not been holding up as it should.”

Cllr Kelly said he was speaking to Donegal County Council about the matter and they assured him the contractor will return early next week to carry out repairs. He was also informed that the works will be completed in time before the new school term resumes.
