Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is on high alert ahead of forecasted heavy rainfall.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for the county from 3pm this afternoon.
It will remain in effect until 6am tomorrow and forecasts heavy rain with thundery downpours, with strong winds at times along coasts. Potential Impacts include spot flooding, difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping on coasts.
“Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is keeping the approaching weather pattern under review and will continue to monitor all local conditions during this period of unsettled weather,” a council spokesperson said this evening.
