A heartbroken Donegal woman has issued an emotional appeal after losing the stone from her engagement ring on Wednesday evening.

It’s believed that the stone fell somewhere around Búitíc Eilish in Bunbeg or Roisin’s Beauty Bar in Falcarragh.

The owner, Jackie Greene, issued an appeal on Facebook in the hope that someone found it.

Jackie was at a friend’s house in Bunbeg on Wednesday when she last saw the ring intact. However, after running some errands, it was in Falcarragh that she noticed the stone missing.

Jackie has already retraced her steps in her car and at home. Búitíc Eilish also helped in the search by combing through the premises and bins. Despite her efforts, the ring remains missing.

Jackie took her appeal to Facebook, where it has been shared far and wide. She has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers that she has received and expressed hope that the ring will be found soon.
