An investigation is underway after a theft from a car in Burtonport last week.

A car was parked in the driveway of a home in the An Choill estate when it was targetted at around 12.30am on Friday 25th August.

It’s believed that the car was unlocked, gardaí say, and no damage was caused to the vehicle.

However, a handbag and a sum of cash was taken from the car.

An appeal is underway to anyone who saw any suspicious activity to contact Milford Garda Station on 0749153060.
