Rocker Shane MacGowan was left beaming after a thoughtful hospital visit from Daniel O’Donnell.
Daniel, who was in Dublin performing at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, made time to visit his pal Shane and wish him well as he battles an unknown illness.
Visits from Daniel and Bobby G from Primal Screen were a great lift for Shane this week, according to his wife Victoria Mary Clarke.

Trooper Shane has welcomed a great list of celebrity visitors to his bedside since he was admitted to hospital last month.
Shane battled viral encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) over Christmas, but his current health challenges have not been stated publicly.
Clannad singer Moya Brennan also visited the hitmaker last week and gave him a great boost for the morale.
