The Donegal Community Games had another great weekend at the National Community Games finals in Carlow with competitors from Fanad, Milford, Ramelton, Bundoran, and Ballyshannon.

This weekend was the culture weekend. Saturday was the art competition and Sunday featured a quiz and the group and solo singing.

Ballyshannon did a fantastic job and won a silver medal in the U14 Boys Quiz, while Oisin McGrath from Ballyshannon won a bronze medal in the Solo Singing competition. Ballyshannon also secured a fourth-place medal in the Group Singing competition. Everyone was proud of the competitors and how well they represented their county.

The County President, Sean McGinley, and County Chairman, Manus O’Donnell, said it was another great weekend for Donegal Community Games to be so well represented on the national stage.

They also wanted to thank all competitors, volunteers, managers, and parents for their help and hard work throughout the year, as this was the last event on the Community Games Calendar.

If any new areas want to join up, they can contact any of the committee members or contact the PRO, Tony McCarry on 0896028093.

Lastly, the Committee would like to thank Sinead Hagan, Cathal Hagan, Chairperson Manus O’Donnell, President Sean McGinley, Nancy McNamee, Jennifer and Catriona Hunter, Micheal Logue, and Filly.

They would also like to extend their gratitude to two Donegal managers, Laura Kerr from Fanad and Karen Hartin from Ballyshannon.
