Gardaí will host an Open Day at Letterkenny Garda Station this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. A sensory hour will take place between 11am and 12pm during which time the lights and sirens will not be used.

Should anybody have any requests/requirements in order to be able to safely/comfortably attend the sensory hour, they should contact the station in advance and management will do their best to accommodate.

The special VIP guests – Honorary Garda members from the Little Blue Heroes – are really looking forward to seeing everybody there.

“We hope to have something to suit everybody at the event,” a garda spokesperson said.

There will be face painting, a ‘soak a Garda stand’, live music and arts and crafts. The garda horse mounted unit, the armed support unit, the dog unit and the water unit and air support will also be in attendance.

“We will also be joined by a number of outside agencies on the day. We are hoping for a good turnout and we look forward to seeing everybody there. Everybody is very welcome to come along.”

For further information, and special requests, contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
