With only two weeks to go, excitement is building across the eleven local Motor Dealers who are delighted to announce that the inaugural Letterkenny Motor Show will take place on a pedestrianised Lower Main Street, in the heart of Letterkenny on Saturday 14th October from 10am until 5pm.

This free to attend one day only family-friendly event will showcase the new vehicle range from local franchise motor dealerships, comprising of 20 marques.

Its aim is to improve the new car buying experience by using one location to offer greater choice to customers and ease of access to a large range of cars and commercial vehicles. There will be over 70 different new vehicle models on display.

The participating local Motor Dealers are – Connolly Motor Group (Volkswagen), Divers Hyundai, McGinley Motors (Mazda, Peugeot, Volvo, and Land Rover), Hegarty’s Ford Letterkenny, iMotors Letterkenny (Kia and Nissan), Highland Motors (Renault, Dacia, Honda, and Citroën), Manor Motors (Opel), Kelly’s Toyota, Brownes Cars Milford (Suzuki), Maxus Donegal (Maxus and SsangYong), and DMG Motors (Seat and Skoda).

“We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting local motor show in Letterkenny. It’s been a fantastic journey working together with our fellow dealers to bring 20 incredible motoring brands ‘under one roof’.

“We can’t wait to showcase the latest models and make this a memorable family-friendly event. We’re inviting everyone to get down to Lower Main Street for a day of fun, entertainment, and a stunning display of shiny, new cars.” said Lawrence Harrigan, Dealer Principal, Highland Motors Letterkenny.

Visitors on the day can look forward to a wide array of entertainment, including captivating dance and musical performances, face-painting, an adventurous scavenger hunt, and much more. Judging will take place too for the ‘Battle of the Schools’ car design competition, in association with Letterkenny Tidy Towns and the great team in the Central Library Letterkenny.

“It’s fantastic to be part of this show, with such a strong and ambitious group of local businesses. There’s no doubt that there’ll be a very positive knock-on effect for the whole business community as a result – and we’re absolutely delighted to be supporting the initiative” added Daniel Carlin, the local First Citizen Finance representative, who has been planning the occasion alongside his motor industry colleagues since March.
