Monsignor Dan Carr will say his last mass as parish priest of St Johnston on Sunday next.

The Fanad-born priest has been a loyal servant to the church and his community for 58 years since he was ordained in 1965.

He will officially retire as parish priest on 14th October 2023, after 35 years of dedicated service to his congregation in St Johnston.

However, this Sunday, October 8th, will see Monsignor Carr celebrate his last mass as parish priest at 11am.

Monsignor Carr’s family and friends will join with the parish community in prayer and celebration of his time as parish priest.

Mass will be followed afterwards with refreshments in St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre with all welcome.
