Contractor appointed for long-delayed Arbatt Bridge repair

A local councillor says a contractor has been approved to carry out long-awaited repairs to a bridge in Cloghan.

Construction firm Triur Construction Ltd has been appointed to do the repairs.

The bridge has been closed for the last year, due to a hole that appeared in the decking, and a long wait to find a suitable contractor to carry out the necessary works.

Local Cllr Patrick McGowan says that works are due to get underway in the coming weeks, pending weather conditions and the acquisition of specialist equipment.
