A Donegal dog charity has issued an appeal for donations of bedding, collars, leads and toys this winter.
With Christmas around the corner, Donegal Rescue Dogs based in East Donegal is appealing to anyone who is doing a clear-out to donate any soft items that can be used as dog bedding, including blankets, towels, and duvet covers.
Donegal Rescue Dogs is the rehoming arm of Twin Towns Lost and Found Dogs. The charity is facing a huge demand with a spike in surrendered dogs and emergency cases this year and is now running low on essential items.
With an increasing number of dogs coming in, the supply of collars, leads, and harnesses is just about gone. If your pet is getting a new one from Santa, Donegal Rescue Dogs is encouraging pet owners to donate their old ones to one of their dogs.
If you have any unwanted teddies lying around, the organisation will also take them for the pups.
Collection can be arranged in Donegal Town or left in Twin Towns Lost and Found charity shop Ballybofey. Please message the page on Facebook HERE to arrange for a donation.
