As Donegal basked in October sunshine at the weekend, one feature of the landscape was looking particularly beautiful.
The Celtic Cross tree formation at Killea was photographed in all its glory by photographer Chris Gallagher on Saturday.
Chris captured forty shades of green in the aerial photo, which also incorporates Inch Island and Fahan.

The ‘Emery Celtic Cross’ is a 200m-long feature planted by local forester Liam Emery in the early 2000s.
Liam had carefully planted larch trees among evergreen Sitka spruce over a two acre area to create the spectacle.
The larch turns yellow in autumn, revealing a perfect cross shape and a visual treat for people flying over the land.
Liam sadly died before he could see the marvel that he had created, but his work of art will remain visible for decades to come.
