One driver was arrested for suspected drink driving at a multi-agency checkpoint in Inishowen at the weekend.
The ‘Day Of Action’ took place on Friday when Gardaí from Buncrana Roads Policing Unit were assisted by RSA Enforcement officers and Customs officers in conducting checkpoints throughout the day.
One driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
A number of Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were also issued in respect of ‘lifesaver offences’ such as bald tyres and defective vehicles.
