Glenree athletic and football clubs to celebrate 50th anniversary

Glenree Athletic and football clubs are to celebrate their 50th anniversaries on Bank Holiday Monday.

Glenree Sports Club was formed on October 30, 1973. The athletic club hit the ground running whereas the soccer club played their first game in the Donegal League on 29th September 1974. Myles Gallagher has teamed up with John F Friel, Creeslough, to record the history of the Club over the last 50 years and to celebrate the occasion.

All past and present members of Glenree Sports Club and friends are invited for a cuppa in the Crock o’Gold, Glenree, on Bank Holiday Monday, October 30, at 12 noon to celebrate the moment.
