National: Two die in separate road crashes to start Bank Holiday weekend

Two people have died in separate accidents to begin the Halloween Bank Holiday weekend.

A man in his 20s died after a crash in County Waterford.

The passenger in the car, another man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Elsewhere in County Cork, a woman in her 80s has died following a multi-vehicle crash that happened in Cork on Friday.

The accident was between a truck and two other cars.

A man and a woman in their 50s were also seriously injured in the collision.
