Met Éireann has issued nationwide weather warnings for Monday.
Strong winds and heavy rain have been predicted, with a yellow warning issued for County Donegal, starting at midnight on Monday.
There will also be a potential for localised flooding, dangerous road conditions, and fallen trees and branches.
The yellow warning covers the entire country, but there are 16 counties that will be under an orange warning – Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Galway.
