Frosses rally driver Ryan MacHugh has been announced as a nominee for the Billy Coleman Award after a successful season of racing.
Mac Hugh rounded off his season by being crowned the Class 2 Triton Showers National Rally Champion last week.
The 25-year-old secured the Irish Tarmac Junior Championship title last year as well as the 2022 Junior Donegal International Rally and 2023 Class 2 Irish National Championship.
MacHugh competes in a Ford Fiesta Rally4 with his co driver Declan Boyle.
This year’s Billy Coleman Award nominees are Craig Rahill, Ryan Caldwell, Ryan McHugh, Keelan Grogan, Jack Brennan, Cian Caldwell and Jack McKenna
The winner of the Motorsport Ireland Billy Coleman Young Rally Driver of the Year Award will receive €100,000 worth of support to contest rallies nationally and internationally in 2024. Coupled with Sport Ireland and Motorsport Ireland’s €50,000 investment, a further €50,000 has been pledged by the Team Ireland Foundation.
